Exciting news, the SAC Young Adult (YA) ministry had a blast at their recent YA launch event! On 25 March 2023, almost 100 young adults from various Adventist churches gathered at HAPPEN (27A Jalan Besar) to kickstart the SAC YA activities for the year.
Despite the long hiatus of conference-wide young adult events, the turnout was phenomenal. We're beyond grateful for the overwhelming support from all the young adults who showed up and participated in this event.
The night was filled with a sumptuous catered dinner, fun board games, and even karaoke for the bravest ones who took the stage to sing their hearts out. It was amazing to see the interactions between young adults from different churches, and new friendships were forged on this memorable night.
Apart from mingling and having fun, the YA ministry updated everyone on upcoming activities, including care groups, sports, and social events to look forward to in 2023. Participants were also invited to attend the new YA worship that will be organised every quarter as a part of our outreach goals. And wait for it, the YA retreat in August 2023 is happening, and the participants even got to vote on the destination — Australia, here we come!
The positive feedbacks from the launch were heartwarming, with one young adult saying, "My favourite thing about the night is having the chance to see all my friends together after so many years." Another thanked the organisers for the event, saying, "We should have more of such events so that we can get to know more people and bring our friends as well."
We're thrilled that the event met its objectives by bringing young adults from various churches to socialise, fellowship and raise awareness for our plans for in-reach and out-reach for our SAC young adults. We're looking forward to more successful SAC YA events and activities throughout the year, and our young adults can already start gearing up for our badminton activity starting in May.
