Connect with us and join in our mission to spread love, joy, and unity in our community.
Our recent Parents’ Day event, hosted by Thomson Chinese Church, was more than just a celebration; it was a platform for building bridges between generations, encouraging interaction, and fostering an atmosphere of love and respect with the seniors from the Adventist Mission Care Group. The expressions of joy and anticipation on their faces during our monthly meetings and events truly encapsulate the spirit of our mission, showcasing our commitment to 'love heart' (爱心).
The song 'Love is Patient' has become a cherished anthem in our care group meetings, capturing the essence of our shared experiences. Each line of this song resonates deeply with our elderly attendees, reminding us all of the importance of love and patience in our daily lives. As Pastor Foo aptly put it during the Parents’ Day service, despite our differences, the Love of Jesus Christ unites us all, making us ONE big family - the family of God.
This Parents’ Day event was a testament to the growth and strength of our community. The Adventist Mission's first care group, now boasting over 40 members, is preparing to expand into smaller, more intimate groups to facilitate better connection and support. This occasion was made even more special by the thoughtful distribution of gift towel sets to our seniors. Looking ahead, Adventist Mission is determined to continue fostering love and respect through monthly care group meetings, church services, Bible study sessions, and by extending our reach to other Adventist Active Centres in areas like Jurong West and Kallang
