On the afternoon of 7 October, the Children's Ministry orchestrated a special celebration of Children’s Day, integrating it with a meaningful Sabbath programme. This unique event, held at Balestier Church, brought together families from all six congregations in Singapore, creating an atmosphere of unity and joy among children, parents, grandparents, and friends.

The theme for this year's Children's Sabbath, 'Fiercely Faithful', was profoundly impactful. It centred around the biblical story of Jacob, a narrative rich with lessons and spiritual insights. The children took us on a journey through Jacob's life, portraying various stages from his deceit of father Isaac to his eventual reunion with his brother Esau.
What stood out in the retelling was not just the dramatic events of Jacob's life but the underlying message of God's unwavering faithfulness. Despite Jacob's imperfections and the numerous mistakes he made, God's steadfast presence in his life was a constant. This portrayal by our young ones served as a powerful reminder that God is indeed 'Fiercely Faithful', always true to His promises.
This theme of faithfulness and redemption is not just limited to the Children's Sabbath but extends to the upcoming Vacation Bible Xperience, scheduled from 27 to 29 November 2023.
As we reflect on this special Sabbath programme, let's carry with us the message of God's fierce faithfulness in our lives, reassuring us in times of uncertainty and guiding us towards a path of redemption and hope.
