Beginnings:
It started
as a Branch Sabbath School to reach the residents in Queenstown
area back in the early 70’s. It were then known as the Queenstown
Church. As it continues to progress, the church was looking for
a more permanent place of worship.
In the early 80’s, a vision to establish an Adventist presence
in the western part of Singapore began to materialize. In 1985,
a church building was erected along Street 13 of Jurong East near
to heart of all the activities in this part of the island.
Today, it houses both the Jurong English and the Chinese churches
as well as the office of the Singapore Mission, the headquarters
for our work in Singapore. Also sharing the premises is the SDA
Kindergarten with an enrolment of more than 400 students. |
