Beginnings:
Chuan Hoe Church began as a Voice of Prophecy club started by the
Southeast Asia College Church in 1972. The group first met at the
house of the late Robert Chan, an Adventist, at Upper Serangoon
Road. It was subsequently organized into a regular Sabbath School
which became known as “The Punggol Group”. Within 10
years, the group multiplied to 50 converts consisting primarily
of teenagers. From then on it moved to various locations such as:Tai
Hwan Heights, Chuan Hoe Avenue, Hemsley Avenue, Jalan Pari Dedap,
Tampines HDB estate, Telok Kurau, the FED premises, SAUC and even
shared the same worship place as the SDA Community Church.
It was at Chuan Hoe Avenue that the group was conferred company
status by the then West Malaysia-Singapore Mission in 1975 —
and was called Chuan Hoe Company.
In 1988, Chuan Hoe Company was accepted into the sisterhood of churches.
In August 2001 a property at 226 Yio Chu Kang Road was developed
as a meeting place.
